If you take a look at the GMap location of the business in my Sig., you'll probably find that it's in a municipal park about a mile to the north of its true location. I've given up correcting the position of their stupid little pin.
I see it roughly at the bottom of what looks like Broadmoor Ln, near the Haymarket Park. No street view though.

From your description alone, it's just where I expected you'd find it.

It properly should be to your right, just to the left of Bayberry Dr., where the background screen change shades indicating the boundary between State College Borough and an adjoining Township.

Once upon a time it was in its proper place. Then, it mysteriously moved; I returned it to it rightful place. Then, it moved again; etc.. Then, etc.. ... Then, I gave up.

PS: Just for the hell of it, I decided to move the pin again, to see what would happen. After logging in, and clicking on more > Move marker, I was presented with a panel entitled "Move the marker for Hound Dog Tours - The Penn State Ticket Man" with the contents "No data available".

Clicking then on more > Report a problem yielded the following, none of which allow for reporting a misplaced location pin.

    Report a problem

Tell us about the problem with Hound Dog Tours - The Penn State Ticket Man
    • Listing contains incorrect information or spam.
    • Place is permanently closed.
    • Place has another listing.
    • Place doesn't exist or is private.
    • Some photos, reviews, or details belong to a different place.

Send email when the problem is reviewed.
This report may be associated or displayed in connection with your profile.

I'm surprised their auto response to your "Report a problem" wasn't something like: "try zooming out 4 "notches" and it will appear correctly."

I think the best advice I would give is head over to their forum, write a long posting and request for a google employee to review your accoun, then post the thread here and ask for support, if there are enough comments generally an employee will look into it for you.

Given that the problems with Google Places/Maps have been widespread and long and well known, one would expect that, if they've not fixed them by now, there's little point in investing much time and effort into seeking a personal audience, as one can now reasonably expect that any present correction will be undone in the future.

Treating a symptom of a systemic problem won't make the problem go away.

About a month ago, I found that Google had moved the pin of my San Diego, CA location, to a couple kilometers east of Lake Victoria, in the heart of beautiful downtown Kenya.

After about four fruitless conversations with a couple of cretins at Google, I finally found someone with a clue, that was able to help me fix it. They had apparently decided to pin me in the geographical center of my service area... but on the opposite side of the globe.

Keep trying... enough noise might get their attention.

Rick, it looks like you have been in the Places forum. Not sure if you got your answer - but here are some tips from someone who does this as a living.
I looked up your edit history under the "more" selection - see below. Last update was Nov 19th that might have erased the copy you wrote. I checked and you do not have any duplicate Places listings, so you must claim this one (if it is not in your Google Places account/dashboard), edit and submit it. Do not create a 2nd listing. Do not email Google or submit a "report a problem" - it gets you nowhere. As suggested in the forum - make sure your business name, address, phone and URL are consistent on all your listings throughout the web. Do a search with just the business name to find any wrong data - then do the same thing with the phone and then the address. You will need to correct all the wrong data. Also, put your phone number and address on your home page - preferably in this format - http://schema.org/RoofingContractor - high up on the page.

Might be a good social media opportunity! I haven't had that one happen, but I find that contacting the Chamber, Merchant's Association, Mayor, and anyone else connected with tourism and let them know that you will be mentioning your experience, it can have some results!
