ok, you may not want this answer after looking at that demo site...

What I see that they have done, is a substandard layout, design itself is not horrible really, just the layout inside it. I see they are importing a number of RSS feeds (not a large scale project). They seem to have 5-6 tools, all of which are available at any free script site, they just make them look a tiny tiny bit prettier. The stock info they are pulling in is from a feed as well, so again, no huge deal.

And you are paying $5,500 for this?

Either I need to raise my rates drastically or .... Seriously tho, it would take me a week to do this...

I'm going to have say ditto.. My rates are WAY too low if people are getting $5k for that kind of work.. I was sort of expecting more.. The first time I tried to enter a stock ticker the page changed while I was doing it.. Then I couldn't find an easy to get to button to give me a stock price quote.. The rest is just a bunch of generic free scripts and loosely coded rss imports.. I especially liked seeing videos for the Golden Globe Awards and FapTrader..

I'd love to know who did this and charged that much for it.. You can PM the info if you want to share.. Or not..

William, it's by no means what I thought it was going to be and yes. $5,500 plus the V-Bulletin puts me around $5750 or so. Was expecting more stock market tools and there's some things about the flashy intro I don't like, has no dedicated page for stock quotes.

Although discouraging, thanks for the feedback. For my little pockets, I went all out on this so it is discouraging news.

Thanks Steve, It's not good news but I guess it is what it is "a big loss I suppose" I think much of the time I've been waiting there was little to no work being done.

As far as the free rss article feeds. He pointed me to a paid feed place called yellowbrix that wanted over $1,000 per month for the full articles and that's way over my budget. The paid Stock market charts and data feeds were all way expensive too so I guess the free rss stuff falls on me.

It's not the fact that they are free rss feeds. It is that that is the bulk of the site. RSS feeds are simplicity to integrate, as are the free tools scripts they used. There is nothing in their work that adds up to half of 5k price tag in my opinion.

It's definitely not a good feeling knowing I got half the site I could have or should have. Ouch!
