Godaddy Problem

Just one of our websites is with Godaddy and recently there was a muddle up over what we owed them. It ended up with them taking our site down. After a very short period we realised that our company did in actual fact owe them a small amount of money. This was paid to them by Credit card almost immediately. BUT, that was just over a week ago and no matter what we try we cannot get them to re-instate our site ie www.daydreamvillas.eu I myself am not an IT person and I have had to lean heavily on a couple of people who know a lot more than I do, but they have now both said that they do not know what to do next as Godaddy just do not seem to care less about what happens. Unfortunately as from today for some unknown reason even the expensive Telephone line to Godaddy from Spain to USA is not working (this is one of their premium numbers which costs a lot of money to use).

Could I please ask that somebody would kindly have a look at the correspondence our friend has been doing on this link

To us as a very small company is a major problem and it seems that we are being held to ransome although we have done all the correct things.

Would be very grateful for any answers to rectify this problem

Assuming you have exhausted all avenue's of resolve with Go Daddy, there are hundreds of other hosts out there you can move your site to. Why let them hold you for ransom? You should have a fairly up-to-date copy of your site locally, right?

The point is that Godaddy has been paid by us and they are just trying to either ignore us or be bloody minded - not quite sure which. Just because they are a large company does not mean to say that they should be allowed to get away with treating people this way. To be quite frank this is a total and complete disgrace. I would not have thought that it was the way of people on this site to just walk away and allow companies like this to get away with ripping people off. Happy to take your money but do not provide a good service. We are just hoping that somebody out there on this forum is able to advise us of how to proceed or what to do next to get our site up and running quickly again.

Since you're unable to edit the nameservers from the godaddy account I would start with total registration and confirm - is the domain registered with them or not? If it is, log in and change the nameservers.

From what I can see in the Whois: http://whois.domaintools.com/daydreamvillas.eu this domain is registered with "Total Web Solutions Ltd" therefore you should take up the issue with them and not GoDaddy.

Registrar and Host need not be the same party.

And, WHOIS shows name servers to be ns43.domaincontrol.com and ns44.domaincontrol.com, which are GoDaddy Name Servers.

Any changes to the Name Servers must be done through the Registrar.

It's definately DNS a fault.

The name servers associated with daydreamvillas.eu appear to know nothing about the domain name and are returning NXDOMAIN which stands for none existant domain.

To be honest, my past experience with Godaddy has been one of complete automation. The only time I have ever spoken to someone at Godaddy was regarding a Premium SSL certificate and even then it was via email.

Do you have any access to your Godaddy account or is it just certain parts that are blocked?
