absolutely right … IMO, promoting website's products and services only on those websites who offers do-follow link is an example of cheap marketing strategy.

Why not? If someone only chasing do-follow links which might help him to get some ranking in search engines and ignoring those no-follow links that might send traffic directly, then I will say that person's marketing strategy is definitely poor or cheap … However, this is just form my personal point of view … so don't take it seriously …but I don't know how this can be categorized as a "cheap marketing strategy"?
But you didn't' say "poor", you said "cheap". Perhaps the literal meaning of the word "cheap" is now being used in a different fashion than it's literal meaning? If you had said "poor" or "not the best strategy" the true meaning would be conveyed.

First, I wasn't blaming on “LD”. Actually, when he explained the difference between “cheap and poor” I really impressed. I said “Are you a lawyer?” just for a fun, because my lawyer always caught me in the words so nothing serious … My intent wasn't to hurt anybody. I used “idiotic” for me, and if the question is unworthy, then no need to reply.
