    of course, the thing that should be asked about that one is whether or not he asked permission from the client first. there are a few who are strict with that and they want to be notified of any additions aside from the ones that they have specified.

    No, he hadn't asked -- that is why the clients were even less happy. If he'd asked, and they had refused, I can't think why they'd be unhappy.

    ouch! that's rather sad. which is why i really make it an important matter to have constant communication with the client even if it is just small things like this. as they say, it is the small details that often turn out as big problems later.
