    Unhappy Anyone else losing rankings?

Nearly every page I have has dropped. The average is 2 to 7 spots on Google.

    Anyone else seeing this?

Why would knowing that it's a panda update make you feel better? If anything it should point out that you are doing it wrong..

At first I thought it might have been a manual penalty. But at this point it just appears the value of certain backlinks has been downgraded. Basically, my ranking are a snapshot of what they were about 2 months ago. It shouldn't be hard to fix.

And it's possible things may adjust back. I've seen some strange fluctuations in my competitors pages over the last week.

Why do so many assume that every failure to launch owes to a "penalty?"

Now you are REALLY doing it wrong.. If you thought what you were doing was so out there that out of the millions of web sites Google tracks and ranks they would take the time to MANUALLY devalue your rankings you are REALLY screwing up.. I hope you don't have clients..

I didn't mean to use the word "penalty." The edit button on posts only lasts for about 10 minutes.

I didn't know what to think. This also happened at the same time somebody is blasting one of my pages with Scrapebox links.

If you think I'm screwing up that's your opinion. If you want to base it on that 1 post, fine.

I'm assuming you know I don't have clients. Everything I do is for my sites and I take 100% responsibility for anything that results from it. It's all about risk and reward and I'm still on the up side of things. This wasn't meant to be a boo-hoo...woe is me thread. Perhaps I shouldn't have used the frown smiley.

And btw, these forums already have enough fake seo pricks for me to jump on that bandwagon. Edit: (This comment isn't aimed at you, I just noticed the seo link in your sig after posting this.)

    Thanks for the input.

Steve made no such judgement. What he said was

I.e., if you think that what you are doing is so obviously egregious in Google's eyes so as to attract their attention and bring down their wrath on you, then you shouldn't be doing it.

Stay the hell away from scrapebox blasts! You want good links that Google likes? Write some good content 400 - 500 words then offer it up as a guest author on ONE site (don't send it out to 2million article directories) that's a sure fire way to build 1 good quality link *which is still 110% better than a million crap links from scrapebox...
