How much is PR7 page worth?

I am interested in selling my website www.beta-theta.com but I am not sure what price to sell it for. Can someone please review the site and please give some suggestions.

Although the site is doing pretty well and is running profitable for over two years now I have to sell it due to lack of time and burden of studies.

Please be prompt in your reply,
    Have a nice day,
    Sparsh.

Its definately worth something. Im not good at giving actual prices, but is a very solid site. Page Rank is solid and linked from good quality sites, and good internat linking. Lots of good information, and nice clean layout, looks like it could have very high traffic. Since it is an educational site, it would probably be easy to get more links into it, so you could really optomize for anything.

Do you have a price in mind that you are looking to get? Maybe it would be easier for people to tell you if you are shooting too high, or if you could get more for it.

    Thanks Jestep

I find your advice really cool. And thanks for all the good comments.

I think $12,000 would be a fair price for the site. Please let me know wether this is high or could I get more for it ?????

Some time ago, I read few articles about estimating value of website. The most common method presented there was calculation based on multiplying monthly profit by 12-24 (months).
So - the site is as much valuable as 1 (or 2) year profit it can give.

    Hi adore,
The site would be worth as much as someone was willing to pay for it. (-:

But I would say if I was selling my business I would want at lest what I could make in 5 years or why sell it.

    Agree with Janeth

I whole heartedly agree that one should sell the site keeping in mind the next 5 year profits or there is no use selling the website .
But as my site is only having its second year running and the ist year it had very less traffic because I didnt work it on it much. But this year it is a completely different. It is flooded with customers.

Consider it this way : Were you to buy the site were you willing to pay $12,000 for it.

    Don't sell the site!

Do not sell your site. $12,000 is chump change. That is the cost of making a mediocre site these days. Do not sell a site that is established and very well designed along with a user base. But it depends how badly you need the money I guess.

    Message for scott

I have to sell the site in any way because I am in Grade 11 now and I have to get down to some serious studies.

You feel $12000 is low .
Do you think $20,000 is a fine price.

    Please let me know.

Consider it this way. If youy were to buy the site how much would you pay for it ?

If you are serious, you will need to show from figures to potential buyers to justify your cost. There is no point having a really popular site if it mainly attracts non-buying traffic.

Basically, If you had 2 sites both the same, one get's 100 visits and makes $500 per day profit, the other gets 10000 visits but only makes $50 per day profit. One is worth much more than the other.
