    Banners or Text Ads?

What's better to use on a blog website? Text links outside the articles, inside the articles, or banners on the site?
What works best on your guys websites?

    Thanks for the newbie help!

since blogs are composed of articles, i suggest that you insert link inside the articles in the appropriate words and don't do overdo it. banners are always attractive and effective for as long as it is catchy.

If it's on the widget then banners is the best.

But if it's within your post, i think banner and text works well there.

In my personal experience, banners have done a better job for me. But I'll suggest that you should go for both in a balanced manner and see which is working for you.

It depends. Are you trying to drive traffic to your site? Then Banners should work better. If you are trying to get a phrase ranked, then the text link will have better results for you.

I have some wordpress autoblogs that I wrote piece of PHP that matches a list of phrases and if found in a post turns them into links to my ad.php page which redirects them to whatever im selling.
So inline text ads of my own device, and they do well, albeit hard to track how well. Banners on blogs seem like white noise to me, I like the adsense text links smartly placed into posts or next to the post tags/categories so they look like they are part of the blog.
I do affiliate marketing, alot of adult and dating industry affiliate marketing and it all grew out of learning SEO for adsense sites. If you have ever made a big affiliate check, buy me a drink and ill show you mine. A Miami SEO and Adwords professional.I am also the MOST HANDSOME SEO in the world

The best option is to use a combination of banners and text ads. Ideally, if you are going for SEO value, you'll want to have no banners or text ads, though.

Banner is the most important and nice way to paste. It may also help you in promoting your brand and its image in customer`s mind. Keep in mind that your banner should be the translator of your product, company and ideas which means it should be clear to understand your business/product image. It develops brand equity so your company banner should be attractive.

If you overload your site with banners ads, it becomes unappealing to the viewer. A nice combination of both works well in my opinion. Also works if you take into consideration people who use things such as adblock which removes image ads. It'll still leave text ads for you, which will be more appealing to those who decide to remove the images.

Using text ads in the articles can be subtle and unobtrusive.
