    ECommerce Decision

I have been reading through the posts but I haven't found my answer yet.

I have a client that wants ecommerce. She does not want to deal with PayPal. She also needs to be able to accept 4 different currencies.

I've looked at PaySystems and WorldPay. Do any of you know these two or one that might be better?

I appreciate any help you can give me.

    Alright,
They have a few options, one would be a 3rd party processor. Paypal is not an option, but you might try introducing Ikobo, they are really the only 3rd part processor that I would reccommend. Option 2 would be having them contact a local bank. Im not familiar with the process in switzerland, but I would imagine that it is going to be expensive, but they will have someone local to deal with. Third option would be to use an offshore, international merchant provider. The cost would most likely be comparible to a local bank, but this is what you can expect, $500 - $1000 application fee. 5- 10% processing fee, 1 - $2 transaction fee, and possibly depending on the business type and credit of the person applying, a rolling or fixed reserve. The plus to the offshore, is that they will have no processing limit, but the funds will be deposited in 1 week, to 4 weeks.

    Hi,

I have to agree that a third party processing company would probably be the best solution for this. Nevertheless, I would not recommend iKobo, unless they are dealing with very small amounts, but I also heard some bad stories about them already.

If you are looking for good credit card processing companies with an established name and a proven record, I would only recommend 3 companies:

    http://www.multicards.com
    http://www.2checkout.com
    http://www.paysystems.com

Make sure that you make a good review of these three companies. You should be able to find something about them in the search engines as well. The cheapest one is not always the best. For an overview of their facilities, look here http://www.merchantseek.com/3rdparty.htm.

    Good luck!

    2checkout.com

I thought they were pretty good also,

But Had a payment made on April 23rd, the release on my account said released 5-1, well waited a few days
than sent a ticket in asking where it was,
Got a reply Telling me it was released after
Payments were processed, so Ok I guess

Well then the 15th came around, by the 18th, no payment, to my bank, so asked again where's my money

Well wouldn't ya guess got the same reply I got from my May 1st request, it was released after payments were sent out, so now it will be nearly 40 days before getting my payment MAYBE!!

I STRONGLY reccommend staying away from 2checkout.com, unless you wish to here generated
explanations when they mess up, and at times wait over a month to recieve your Money

Well, I am sure that you will get your money eventually. These businesses have been there since the start of e-commerce and if they were bogus, they should have been out of business long time ago. The problem with third party processing companies is that they are NOT a bank. So, if they have prepared a payment and issued this to their bank, this is not a garantuee that the money has gone out. This all depends on when the bank has processed the payment and this even can take up to three working days, while the processors system indicates that the payment has been prepared and should have gone out. There is always someone who has to do the manual part, so sometimes people make mistakes, forget to put it through etc. You can't always blame the third party processor for this. Other times, they will hold some money because of excessive chargebacks or higher risk accounts. Every processor has its own policy about this, just make sure that you read everything carefully. Most mistakes are made by the merchants, because they just don't read (especially the FAQ page!).

    Hi Jaca,
I had this problem too because I also have a website in German, this caused me long and long search.
Finally I found out that http://www.ecs-solution.de
is the best.I got very satisfied with their customer service. They reply in few minutes when you have a problem. This was really good.

Addition to this, their system integration is quit easy.If I do any project in Europe, I will definetly choose them again.

    Greetings
