    Marketlive ecommerce software REVIEW

My ecommerce company was locked into Marketlive for about 2-3 years. This time became pure torture for the company and nearly cost it it's life.

This is going to be a short review, if you want anything validated or want to speak to me or my VP about it, contact me (Brad) via a PM.

A nightmare of costs, red tape, and faulty software. Anytime we needed anything done it was a proposed cost of $1500, if I recall. A nickel and dime nightmare that you can do without. Over half the companies don't use the majority of the gizmos that lure you in in the first place.

At the time we were attempting to break contract they were firing their employess left and right, it was unbelievable. They finally also fired OUR project manager and I snapped her up to become my Operations Director.... so you can imagine the inside stories I heard as a result. It's not pretty.

We have a file of the nightmare somewhere, fully documented, due to the prep we had to do to break contract.

You'll argue that they have Sundance and other names. But what you don't know is that those companies have customomized the software at their own expense, into something almost completely different and finally workable. They're so into the software for so much money that it doesn't make sense for them to leave at this point.

We now use Magento as a back end, with OrderMotion for inventory and customer management. We find Magento superb. Superb and manageable. We use a Ukrainian web team that can do ANYTHING for $40/hr and have been working for us for the last 3 years or so.

Don't let yourself get nailed by this ugly firm, please. I'd hate to see anyone else get caught up in it and have to buy their way out like we did. Contact me if you want documentation.

How is Order Motion working out as the backend order and inventory management system? What other OMS solutions you evaluated before settling on OrderMotion (OMX)?
