    Layered Navigation Question.

Hi I have a site using layered navigation. my current site navigation is for example

    mysite.co.uk/category/product_name

If I click any of the options on my layered navigation options it becomes

    mysite.co.uk/browse/category/product_name

Is this something to worry about?

If both URLs end up in the index, it will split the pages' IBLs, lowering their PR. How many URLs your system responds to is inconsequential, but the number that the SE's see is. Use your server redirects if your can, or use a CANONICAL tag in your pages to funnel all search engine traffic down one link path. Search this site for an article by Webnauts describing CANONICAL tags. As well, search the web and learn about what support is out there for this tag on the various engines. They are all generally supporting it, as far as I know, but your research should answer this question. Let us know how you make out, please.

    How is this functionally implemented?

No there is no problem at all.I think the web-page is redirected to other page.It seems not to be a error.the url which is specified is redirected by web-site designer at time of coding.

Setting aside the fact that there is no evidence here of redirection, the fact that an explicit error is not triggered does not necessarily mean that all is as wished for.
