Is google+1 working well for you?

Ive got different kinds of response in different webmaster forums and Im curious to what the pros here has to say about Google+1

Id like to find out how google+1 is working for people that tried it on their website. The big question, is google+1 working well for you? what are the results? Feel free to share any experience with google+1

Im looking forward for any response that has anything to do with google+1 on other sites and their experience with it. Thanks in advance!

We really haven't seen any sort of impact yet. It seems that Google+1 is way too new, and has no where near the user base that Facebook does for their like button.

It hasn't done anything to attract any new visitors to my site. I've been asking my family and friends to +1 my site for the sole reason that I think it will somehow impact your organic rankings in the near future.

I installed the Google + button on some of my higher traffic blogs and I don't think a single person has used it. Plenty of FB and SU though. One popular post I did has these stats:

    Google+1 (0)
    Tweets (49)
    FB Like (2,000)
    FB Share (487)
    Stumbled Upon (121,000)

So yes, Google +1 has a way to go. People may also be using it completely differently than FB as well. Way too soon to tell how this will ultimately play out.

It does have a long way to go for sure, but I think that Google have to make it work and it can only go up from here (I'm talking about the +1 button as opposed to Google+ in general - which I also think will do reasonably well even if it has to make a lot of changes along the way).

You'll also find that currently (in the early stages) there are a lot more 'techie' people on G+

    e.g.

    on this post

I asked people on Google+ to plus one it (if they thought it was worthy) - and it has now has more plus ones than tweets or likes. Though we are talking a tiny amount granted - it has potential - and it's not hard to install the button - so start there but maybe don't spend 8 hours a day cultivating relationships on G+ just yet

I experimented with the +1 on one of my pages. Out of around 5,000 visits the number of +1s was precisely zero. So I took it off.

I would leave it on. It's not doing any harm - and you will get some benefit from it at some point (albeit probably a very small benefit)...

I took it off because it didn't look good having a "do you like this page" counter apparently showing that nobody liked the page!

Is there not a version without a counter?

For me, Google+ seems to have no effect. I have about 10 Google+ ratings on a small website, on a medium competitive niche. I think in few months these ratings will be used on the better percent. Actually seems to have no effect in rankings.
