My answer is yes. I've got great results from G+. I've got all real and unique +1s and shares on my sites. Get the traffic from this network and also it does impact the ranking and position in Google. I've made some experiments, I wondered if it will impact on the position in SERP, when my URL got some number of +1 votes and shares it began to get better and better positions in SERP.

I have been putting off becoming a PlusOner myself ... just hoped it would go away ... but I think I have to give in and focus.

I was specifically referring to the claim that the "site looks better with it," which is independent of the passage of time.

I just came across the following, although it was published a week ago and will be old news for some. Questions from Danny Sullivan and answers from Matt Cutts:
DS: asks question about Google+ and SEO
MC: When we look at +1, we’ve found it’s not necessarily the best quality signal right now.
DS: You have to be on Google+ if you want to rank well in Google.
MC: No!!!! It’s still early days on how valuable the Google+ data will be.

Note that Matt's response about +1 is not what Danny inquired about, which was G+.

If this is an accurate transcript, then it is yet another example of Matt's typical obfuscatory statements.

    I didn't notice that

Apparently not, it was a "live" blog and earlier a question was missed altogether. Also, although the responses appear that they may be written fully, the questions aren't, which does limit the value of the exercise. But it does at least give some insight into how +1 may be viewed, even if it wasn't asked for.

Unless Matt was actually speaking of G+ even though he said +1.

    From the same article:
"Other topics included why some spam reports aren’t acted on, whether Google+ and +1 votes are a strong SEO signal right now and much more. We’ll have separate coverage of those topics in future articles, but for now you can read my full (and largely unedited) live blog below."

So we will have to wait and see whether both the questions and answers are published in their entirety. As over a week has gone by now perhaps they will not.
If that does prove to be the case, it does seem rather pointless to have these public discussions if they are not going to be reported accurately.

While I concur, given that so many hang on every word that drips from Matt's lips, I expect to see no change in the reporting of such.

I am using google+ and even install in website.... but can't see any boost in traffic or SERP. May be my method is not upto mark.
