Google+ Teaches Old Dog (Facebook) A New Trick: Post Privacy Prompts

Just posted my first status update of the day in Facebook and noticed a few new features. I was prompted to add my companions, location, and to whom the post is visible. The choices are Public, Friends and a Custom feature which allows me to select Friends of Friends or to narrow it down and target only certain contacts or groups.

Looks rather like the choice I'm offered on Google+ when I post. Nice to see FB picking up a trick or two from G+

In the past, I believe all Facebook posts were Friends only by default. Now, I have to choose. If anyone finds a way to make the posts default to Friends only, let me know.

Noticed any other new tricks FB has learned from Google+?

Pretty much all the latest Facebook updates have been a response to Google+. Consider the new features with Skype and video chat: this is clearly a direct challenge to Hangouts.
