This is a good list of search engine submitting links.

I would like to point out that the easiest and quickest way to get listed is to have links into your site. Even if you submit it is very unlikely to have your site picked up if there aren't any inbound links.

I have to agree with jestep... as an example .. my site is not yet ready to go live. It is up on the net so that I could get feedback and advise from WPW members.

While doing a stat report today I discovered that google has followed the links from my posts (can only assume it this because it is not listed anywhere else) and now when you type in the name of my company in google I come up as the top listing.

It does not even have keywords in it yet. Guess I better get it finished this weekend ready for the next crawl.

Ok, so here's what I had in mind. I am perfectly aware that you need incoming links to have your web site indexed in the SE's. :) What I wanted to do is a comprehensive list of links directly to the submitting page of important but FREE SE's. Everybody can add links here and if I'm allowed I will copy all of them and add them in the first post. Then everybody can use this list for their own purpose. Thank you.

Thanks for the list. I have been doing it on foot for the last week or so, but was too dumb to save the addresses. I just went for Search engine; name of country and worked my way through a geography text book.

I've just been using http://www.1-hit.com/search-engines/

to find them worldwide. Seems to work quite well
