I sent you both a PM and an email on this, weegillis. If you'll respond to one or the other, we can get to the bottom of this.
This is precisely why we said to post titles and topics in this thread, to avoid lost entries.

Darkspark: can you please verify your PayPal email for me. I am getting a message saying there is no paypal account associated with the email I have on file for you and don't want to send it to a typo'd email.

Sorry WilliamC, just had an email off of Doc, and sorted that out for you. Payment just went through, thanks.

Honestly though, I really didn't consider what I wrote worthy of anything, considering the level of technical knowledge that usually lingers around these forums.

Never the less, thank you, and greatly appreciated. Was my writing, ok? Any major things you seen which I should improve, on my submission?

    Regards,
    Darkspark.

@keyon: If we all thought only of our IP, there would be little for us hobbyists to draw upon--it would all be squirrelled away in high priced courses and expensive text books. If we know something, it behoves us to share at least a little of it now and then. This contest gave all of us a chance to flex a little and put our noses to grind stone to come up with something interesting out of the storehouse of our knowledge and experience. I know a lot went into my entries, yet in the end they are not much. Worth the effort, if you ask me.

I wouldn't underestimate the value in what you submitted.
Don't know what the contest promoters are going to do with the submissions, exactly, but I'm sure it has something to do with making money (well, maybe not so much money now since the response wasn't so great ).
Do the best you can - as fast as you can - then fix it later.

Since you preferred to sit here and pick at it from the beginning, rather than putting together your own entry and getting paid for it, I guess you'll never know.

It's probably just as well he didn't waste his time, Doc, I wouldn't want to ask someone to overreach their capabilities afterall, and apparently he didn't feel he was up to the task.

The people who did submit entries all did very well in my opinion, and they all deserved what they got.
