Can you review my logo please

    Hello,
I am a website and graphic designer (but not very professional lol) and after designing a lot of logo and drafts, I designed something that I like but need to know your comment about it.

Here is some information about me: I am a designed that most of my clients are artists such as singers, photographers and etc. the logo will be under every website I design and also I'll put my name and the website address under the logo. I will also use the logo in my graphic works like posters and etc.

    * D.S is my name initials.

I have no idea about the colour so, it would be great if you have any idea about it.

For my eye, the negative slope is somehow not very endearing. Can't explain the psyche. The colour could be more discreet if your plan is to place it on every site you create. You don't want it to stand out, but rather blend in with the background so as not to distract.

It is so hard to find the right logo, I remember I searched, scratched my head, drew pictures and diagrams for well over four years before I finally decided exactly what I wanted. I emailed a cartoonist I knew a bunch of drawings and doodles, and a whole bunch of colour combinations and awaited the result. . . It certainly is not easy to find the right logo.

I like a logo to say something, I like it to be remembered and recognised, I like it to reflect an attitude.

Logos for smaller business do not benefit the same way the bigger multinational logos that get huge exposure do.

I think your logo needs more work, if your site is about graphic design the logo falls short. It says nothing to me. In all probability if your main page only contained this logo it would not inspire me to enlist your services.

You have a big task ahead as a graphic designer . . You need something to show off your skills, originality, style. A logo that fits comfortably on your outgoing emails, on your business cards and letter heads . .

I'm conflicted. I actually like the logo, but not for you. It'd be a good logo for another type of business or maybe one of your clients who is a singer. However, when I look at the logo it doesn't articulate who you are or what you do. Looking at the wings on the side and the psychedelic font I just can't draw the parallel between the logo and web/logo design.

However, don't scrap the logo, or at least the idea behind the logo. Like I said earlier another type of client would be able to make good use of it and it would fit another type of business/person better. As for you, you don't have to use anything too complicated. Maybe some regular text with a distinctive font perhaps with an icon will work better.

Thank you guys, yeah you're right it is not that mush suitable for my business. But I really stuck cuz I have designed over 10 logos and none of them were what I want, I am thinking about an icon according to the services I provide. It would be great if I have a look at a collection of logos of designers, then I can get idea.
