Google Web Master Tools - Not Found

I am working with a site that completely re did their site causing a lot of missing pages error reports on google websmaster tools. I know how to fix this, but is there a way to get google to refresh it's results so I don't have to pile through all the old mistakes and catch the freshies?

Only thing I have found in the past was that fixing the errors usually is enough, for the time. On subsequent crawls, the error list will get updated, but it may take a while. You do not have to resubmit your sitemap.xml if the one that's showing is valid. G will request the file on next crawl, so just make sure it's up to date, and valid.

Assuming that you have, as above said, a current XML sitemap submitted, with the Last Modified Date fields being up to date, you should be okay.

As for the 404s, they can be ignored, as they are of no consequence.
