Actually no. I am an active user on few forums, and my website is receiving about 10-30 visits per month from them.

Have you considered writing quality blog posts about topics you care about? Doing some forum posting is good but also if you spend some time building links and writing quality content pertaining the the respective linked pages, then I think you can build higher organic traffic.

    Definition of organic traffic:
Web traffic which comes from unpaid listing at search engines or directories is commonly known as "organic" traffic. Organic traffic can be generated or increased by including the web site in directories, search engines, guides (such as yellow pages and restaurant guides), and award sites.
    Web traffic - Organic traffic

So you could work on all of those. I'd work on your own website first. Improve your position in the search results with your content. This way you will get organic traffic from the search results and when someone loves your site they will spread the word for you through word of mouth, social networking sites and social bookmarking sites = more organic traffic.

Can't quite make up your mind, can you.

In one thread you ask how do X; and, then, a bit later in another thread, you offer advice as to how to do just that!

    Posting for count are we?

Organic traffic only comes one way...from organic, well-written, well-designed, well-produced websites and web pages. That's what makes it organic...it's cultivated naturally, rather than forced upon the universe.

    There's no universal formula.
    There's no magic button.
    There's no secret.

It's just plain hard work, and depending on how much traffic you want, a lot of it.

Firstly, traffic is only delivered via direct links; multilevel linking schemes involve links that are overwhelmingly indirect.

Secondly, the PageRank delivered by such schemes is vastly exponentially reduced below that provide by direct lengths. Should you dobbt this, look up the mathematical expression that defines the PageRank function, and do the calculations yourself.

Lastly, Google is quite good at detecting such schemes. And, they are aided here by many who, out of self interest, report such when spotted.

Bottom line: Unless you have lots of money to spend, and possibly waste, paying for a very large number of links, and are willing to risk having your site banned from Google's SERPs, avoid any such linking schemes.

I'm no expert but this is what I do. First I spend time researching the niche and appropriate content and keywords (seed keywords) that will go into the website. I then use Google Keywords, Keyword Optimizer Pro and Keyword Ninja to get a list of relevant keywords. Finally I load these into Market Samurai and find 18 keywords. 6 easy (1000-2500 monthly searches), 6 competitive (2500-5000 monthly searches) and 6 dream keywords (5000+ monthly searches). These 18 keywords are used for the articles on my site. I make sure that each article is at least 500 words long and is of high quality content. There's enough garbage sites out there. Don't add to them. As the articles are indexed I then put them into the article directories. Once you are done with the first 18 pages you can then start adding to them or move onto the next site. There are of course more details to this but this is basically what I do.

Of the ways you mentioned I've found the best way to get targeted organic traffic is to use the article directories. After about 30 or 40 articles you should see the organic traffic picking up as the site gets linked and moves up the SERPs. Of course if the content isn't good then this won't happen.
