While Google does, as had been foretold by it, now show you more link data for your site than it once had, there was never the intimation that it would one day show all such, let alone like data for other sites.

Given that no SE has an interest in helping others to deduce anything re. its trade secrets, and that they are not competing with respect to link analysis, there is no reason to expect that either Google or Bing will do more than provide that which is of direct use with regards to ensuring that they are able to effect timely discovery and successful crawling of resources which are newly created or modified.

it is still a link game, but the board game may give more credit to social media sharing, especially on G+ .

While some of those listed above have been around far longer, I am seeing far far better quality results from http://ahrefs.com

We have been mainly using their API and with the newest updates they have made to their crawlers and database scalability, their index is showing extreme progress and their API far easier to use with more flexibility.

I was a fan of YSE, not for absolute accuracy but for consistency. Microsoft have a great track record of taking pretty cool things and then messing them up, so I don't hold out much hope. However, looking at the lists proposed here there is more choice than I was aware of, so thanks guys.

Don't know that I'd put much faith in the reviews posted on Site Explorer, as at least one of its Top 10, Backlink Watch, has many a problem that the reviewer makes no mention of.

I don't see how you can call that spam?? What the heck.

Reviews are meant to be informational, and this is 100% on topic.

Stop being such a zealous nut.

You are absolutely right on that. It should not be in the top 10... It's a one star. The top 10 actually is a top 13 or some such so it needs adjusting.
