Your decision is good. In development field there is also a lot of money and packages. Who suggest you this field SEO? You are a Btech person, please don't try to go SEO field. It is not good for your carrier.........
SEO is more about communication, not IT or technology. Or more accurately, a blend of the two -- but still heavy on comm and light on tech. I see too many lopsided novices ("computer people" or "marketing people") that have lousy SEO advice, including those who are considered "experts". I see "SEO experts" come and go every year, because they never last more than a few sucker customers before they're discovered to be lacking in skills.
