New social site (Myspace and Facebook aspect)

Visit My[Zone], I made the site to look a lot like Myspace and Facebook, but unlike Facebook founder I don't have any collage exp. I would like a review on the site, but would really love if you would join here. I worked hard on the site and have almost won a few contest. Thanks in advance!

my advice: look at facebook and copy everything they have ... your front page should have a sign up box, and a login box. do NOT overload the front page a la myspace, would be a huge mistake. hope this helps.

Thanks for posting yet again, I do recognize that the site is a bit slow, but I think it due to the massive CSS codes which I have cleaned up a little already. I'm going to try it make it more clean and will start to make a sign up menu on the home page today, again thank you guys for your tips.

Echoing the others here, there is far too much going on. The entire page moves when you hover your mouse over a navigation link. Some images in some slideshows are low resolution and look unprofessional. Finally, while I agree you should take some elements of Facebook and Myspace, keep in mind that if they wanted a site like Facebook they can just go to Facebook. I suggest putting in something unique that makes your site stand out in the field. Hope that helps!

I fixed the nav menu hover problem, also the slide show will be removed when i'm done with the sign up menu for the new homepage, I do try to add new thing to the site so it won't look exactly like facebook or myspace, but what I lack is not really coding knowledge but imagination and ideas, believe it or not this site is helping me a lot and is shaping my site in several ways.
