Want to put Ads on my website other than adsense . Any recommendation

I recently launched a site and am looking to place ads on my site, I know that in order to generate revenue you have to have traffic and in order to grow traffic you have to run advertising or marketing campaigns that cost more money than the revenue you will make from the ads. But even some money would help defray all these costs.

Any recommendation other then Amazon ads and adsense, any thoughts on Winbuyer Related Product Listing in know its not contextual advertising but does it do the job?

If you are looking for the contextual advertising then AdSense, Yahoo! Publisher Network and Microsoft adCenter are some good networks to join.
Is there anything wrong with Google Adsense?
    Then you have limited alternatives.

I would reccomend doing a good study of the demographics of your audience before deciding who to advertise with, and what products to advertise. It's important that you target the right advertising to the right people. The advertisers I use on all my sites work well for me but might not do as well for you depending on who you are trying reach. I use adsense, google affiliate network, ebaypartnernetwork, shareasale, linkshare, pepperjam network, and paidonresults.

Is it reasonable to suspect that anyone looking for an alternative to Adsense might be banned from using it? If that's the case, it would interesting to hear details about how that happened -- so we can avoid that misfortune ourselves.

To protect our users privacy we removed Google Ads several months ago and received lots of positive feedback. We have small, local Ad marketers now and slowly it is working for us. Possibly this is an interesting alternative for you.

AdSense has worked best for me. (See the $3000 per month AdSense thread on these forums - http://www.webproworld.com/webmaster...nse-Project...)
If you want to go one step further than just pasting adsense codes directly onto your pages, then have a look at Google DFP For Small Business (used to be called Google Ad Manager) - http://www.google.com/admanager/login/en_US/
Which, while not being very user friendly, allows you to do all sorts of very neat things like show AdSense ads to any visitors outside of your own country, while showing completely different ads (affiliate or whatever) to people inside your own country. It also allows you to force clicks on AdSense ads to open in a new window so you don't lose your visitor after they click on the AdSense ad.

Any ideas on other products/ads to use for a site like that?

Im sure you will be overwhelmed with this
    1. PocketCents. Create and display text, image or video ads directly to the kind of users who are interested in your product or service on the PocketCents Network. Set up a fixed monthly budget per ad, eliminate competitive placement based on bidding and much more with PocketCents. PocketCents features a flat rate of $.25 per click on text or image ad or per play of video ad.
    2. Clicksor. A contextual targeting ad network that automatically matches your ads to the most relevant websites in Clicksor's network. Create text or graphic banner ads, pop-under ads or interstitial ads — appearing between web pages — and pay per click (CPC), per 1,000 impressions (CPM), or per visit (CPV).
    3. AdBrite. One of the largest ad networks outside of the big search engine brand networks — create and target ads to users in the network and pay with variable pricing models including CPC, CPM and other flexible pricing options.
    4. Bidvertiser. Advertise across thousands of websites in the Bidvertiser network on a pay-per-click basis. Browse the categorized directory of websites and select the appropriate ones you want to advertise on for your business; set your desired geographic targeting and your pay-per-click bids and your ads are ready to go.
    5. Chitika. An ad network that targets your ads directly to interested individual users. Currently, Chitika is only open to advertisers interested in spending a minimum of $50,000 per month.
    6. TribalFusion. Reach the almost 230 million users on Tribal Fusion’s ad network per month with your ads — several advertising package options that can be tailored to suit your business’s needs, pricing varies on package and scope of campaign.
    7. Advertisingdotcom. Reach approximately 183 million users monthly on this large alternative advertising network — pricing is depending on campaign.
    8. Vibrant. With around 250 million unique users in its network, Vibrant is a great text-based advertising option for ecommerce businesses. Pricing is cost per 1,000 impressions and varies based on available inventory and the category of ad placement.
    9. ValueClick Media. Place ads and target users on this network that reaches approximately 173 million unique visitors per month. Pricing dependant on scope and style of ad package.
    10. ContextWeb. Target ads to relevant users in this network to get the most value for your dollar spent. Pricing is flexible with a name-your-own price option for cost per 1,000 impressions.
    11. Claxon. Run banner campaigns on this ad network and geo target by nation and cap impressions, if needed. Pricing depends on size of banner ad and scope of campaign.
    12. Clickcent. Run ads on this contextual advertising network and pay only for the actual unique traffic to your site at a price that you negotiate. You can monitor responses to your ad in real-time and change your bid price or ad copy as you see fit.
    13. DynamicOxygen. A search engine marketing solution that allows you to target millions of prospective customers coming from Google, Yahoo!, Bing and many more. Pricing is cost per click and rates depend on size and scope of ad campaign.

What is wrong with Adsense? The best I've used and actually the only one from which I received the money. Not saying that other programs don't pay. I just did not have patience to wait for other programs to send the money.
Some one mentioned about Yahoo! Publisher Network - I'm waiting for 1 and half year to be approved by them.
