    Linking to Youtube versus Embeding

I'd like some thoughts on the SEO effects of embeding video on a site versus linking to a video on youtube. I have a client that links off to youtube vids 2-10 times per page.

One competitor has all their embeded vids on a specific page on their site. They link to the vid at that page. Keeping all pr in the site?

I see this as three issues to think about: 1)site speed issues, 2)not linking out 3)keeping customers on site.

    Any thought, experienced advise appreciated.

You must embed videos on your site instead of linking to it.
    Reason?
When you add video links in your site map or submit video Sitemap to the Search Engine....
    1. You videos will appear in the search results and improve your SERP rankings
    2. When user clicks your video he will be redirected to your website for full playback (It gets you more traffic)
    3. You can Upload this video on different video sharing channels, this helps in getting good backlinks

The competitor is doing it right.. Why send the traffic to YT when you could be sending it to your site?
