It makes me wonder if Internet Explorer 6 was such a crappy brower to develop for because they did it deliberately, or if it was because they were innovating too much past the pack.
Maybe Chrome is the Next Internet Explorer?
If it helps, I see people developing specifically for chrome a lot. Maybe they are imagining that eventually it will work everywhere else? That is not always the case. Stick to standards. Try a variety of different vaildators, and don't use code that is specific to Chrome.
Other than that... I don't know what to say. If it can be done in HTML4 instead of 5, then go with the more standardized and tested solution. Newer isn't always better, and newer is almost always more risky.
I like the WDG validator alot better.
