Facebook definitely has the one up from a Public Relations angle if you ask me. That zuckerberg guy's mother is a psychologist and I am not sure what the rest of his family is to be honest, but the whole Facebook culture definitely seems to be more "Ivy League" oriented than "Engineer" oriented. From a PR stance, maybe it is asking too much of people to stop using a profitable ad channel because they have personal issues regarding their competitors?
That being said, it will be interesting if they sue each other out of business.
Doubtful... I could Definitely see them being the kings of Social... I have a hard time believing that Google will be able to take the lead as a Social Network, and the same goes for Facebook becoming the King of Search.
People just don't care enough about either of them to make that shift inside their minds to accept a company doing a complete 180 overnight.
I mean if Walmart woke up one day and said they were going to be the largest banking institution in North America, people will still make the association as them being a Shopping Store.
