    The question I asked was one of kind, not of degree.

    It remains fact that Alexa Rank is based on a biased sample, and that one can manipulate it by manipulating the sample population.

    It remains fact that, because Alexa Rank is based on a limited and biased sample, it is of dubious value.

    Your comment neither adds to nor detracts from these salient points.

    Alexa Rank is simply a traffic metric; and, not a very accurate one at that. The most accurate source of traffic data is your server log.

    And, as the calculation of PageRank is wholly independent of traffic, Alexa Rank is of no help in discerning what ones PR is.
