    Please critique my logo!

    I am in the process of redoing a website a made awhile back for my mother-in-law. Her and fiancee own a private tutoring school for parents who home-school there children. Anyway here is what I have created. Please let me know what you think

    It looks like a real estate agent logo to me. I only noticed 'Academy' after the initial impression.

    Overall a very nice design, but like an above poster said, the "academy" part is easily overlooked. I would consider relocating it below the line (Homespun), and perhaps making the text a bit bigger.

    Definitively the issue to solve is getting the "academy" out of the background so it won't be overlooked.
    Besides this issue I like it very much!

    Yeah, its pretty up to the mark, and like the posters above I wouldn't like to repeat the same words. I hope you've got my point.
    Moreover, try out with placing a big tree with a small tree, giving out an impression of parent child relationship, just give it a try.

    I like the mountain effect in the background. Is pretty nice
