Question What happened to the "Cached" links for MSN/Bing search results?

Excuse if this has been previously discussed....What happened to the "Cached" links for MSN/Bing search results? I don't use them everyday, and I just noticed it moments ago. The "Similar" links have also gone.

I searched for this at G and found nothing at all about this! What's strange is I tried to search for it at MSN (they also appear to no longer use the "OR" operator!) so I could not. But modifying the search to only this http://www.bing.com/search?q=bing+%2...&go=&form=QBRE shows two results on the page with the "Cached" links. This is the only search of theirs where I have seen the Cached links.

I noticed it as well... I thought maybe it had something to do with the way the websites are using meta tags, but the cache tags seem to exist in Google.

Hopefully you will see the same results as me... if you use the site: prefix and dig a few pages deep, eventually you can still find some cache links on certain pages.

    http://www.bing.com/search?q=site%3a...t=31&FORM=PORE

I don't know what it is... or why... maybe they have been discontinued past a certain date? I am not entirely sure and have not looked into it much farther.

In your example I don't see any Cached links. I went all the way to page 20, then couldn't go beyond page 20 because of some odd error! A totally blank generic default off-white page with this on it and nothing else:

    Ref A: B8E4518B34FF43CA89529137EB9F845D Ref B: 29F6622AA27EC74962561A6B38478557 Ref C: Fri Feb 25 04:59:09 2011 PST

All pages after 20 are like that.

Yes... I am in Canada so maybe I am seeing different results than you...

There is a cached page from that result.

    http://cc.bingj.com/cache.aspx?q=sit...ad314,84113836

And I just tried looking at the same page through a proxy, and you are right... I cannot see the cached links through the proxy.

So... there are very few cached links, maybe one in every 30 or so pages? Just estimating, where I can see things, and I am in Canada.

I can get to that and see that ok. And if I search for that uncached URL at Bing, http://www.bing.com/search?q=http%3A...&go=&form=QBLH I see the Cached link! (And it even shows my location at upper right). But I don't see the Cached link when I search for other URL's. Something most odd is going on.

And I just tried looking at the same page through a proxy, and you are right... I cannot see the cached links through the proxy.

Is there any way to find out what the IP is of that specific proxy or do you know what it was? They could be blocking Cached links in the USA. The IP for that URL is in Arizona....that's IF the IP Proxify.net is using for that specific proxy URL is 65.98.25.144 . That's their domain name IP, but I don't know if that's how that works for their proxy service.
