This is what gives them the boost.. So a link on an edu page that is well linked has no more or less value than any other page that is well linked.. And a forum link from an edu site has no more value than a link here.. Most likely even less value because WPW is very well linked..
So, the question should not be, how do I get edu links, but rather, how do I get links on well linked pages?? Which brings us right back to the answer MJ gave, do something link worthy..
And now for some real help.. Pick a topic that fits your web site, one that you know VERY well, not just something you pay someone $10 to write 400 words on.. Write a REAL article or paper.. Don't word count, don't keyword stuff, write it like you would a research paper or master's thesis.. Once you are done, search for similar sources and pages that are already linking to solid research like the one you just wrote.. Then ask them if they will link to your resource as well because it provides value and another perspective on what they wrote.. Most will ignore you, but a few might link to you.. And once you get that started it becomes easier to get other to link to you..
edu forum link? junk.. edu blog link? mostly junk.. link from a solid research paper that is linked to by hundreds of other people, gold..
