.jp domain name question

Hi all,

A client of mine in Canada has an ocean view rental property that he wants to market to people in Japan looking for this type of service.

Is he best off buying the .jp domain name and setting up Canadian web hosting or a .com domain name then using Webmaster Tools to target a country?

Advice is appreciated.

all of the above, best off getting a japan domain name, but that would be one of a hundred things to do.

just the address on the website it will affect it.

Keywords on the title pages would probably have more affect.

it also depends on which google/search engine they are using..

google.co.uk - returns uk stuff mainly google.com.au give precidence to au stuff - onandoneandon
