Also remember, facebook was created to connect with old buddies and family so treat it as that way. Connect with new friends and maybe get them into your skype contacts.

There is a great strategy as long you have good content. Remember to share only stuff that you would love to be shared with you.

I just spent a couple of hours making a facebook page yesterday. Now I just have to read up on how to get some friends.

most of the contents are pretty good. i find facebook works the best when i have a separate business page and a personal page. i promote my business page on my personal page, but neither the two shall meet otherwise.... when it comes to commenting.

I agree with arenee - keeping separate business and personal Facebook pages works well because your friends and family do not necessarily want to see every update you have regarding your business, nor do your business contacts necessarily want to hear about your personal life. Asking your followers to share content is a great strategy...when the content is something they would want to share.

And when you do ask your followers to share, it's always good to pick and choose which content you'd like them to share. If you have them share every piece of content of yours, then other Facebook members may treat the content as background noise and ignore it. If you only choose to share certain content, though, it will give people a reason to come back and see what else you have to offer.
