Yes. In all her glory; gonna be a scorcher today.

OT: The link goes to Radio 4, Netherlands, so yes it is foreign--Dutch. Just open it in Chrome and the translator will kick in. There is so much more to this music than just singing.

Do you listen to interesting music?

Yes. But I prefer the term "artistic". You'r right,it doesn't REALLY matter if you understand the language (but it helps of course). Do you like opera as well?

Yes, but not as a aficionado by any stretch. We listen to it every Saturday on CBC Radio 2. It repeats for every time zone, so a person can tune in to Atlantic time in the morning, or Pacific time in the afternoon (online). Our satellite provider carries Radio Two in three time zones, I believe, but you'd have to be in Canada (Bell).

Those Early Music recordings have an expiry date. The two Monteverdi concerts are good for another couple of months, but the top concert has only about three weeks left. There isn't a lot of this sort of music available anywhere, and it is sure nice to be able to enjoy it when it is. It was the Pop music of the day, 400 or so years ago.

Do you like cerebral music, as in ambient jazz or new music, etc.?

Yes. But here, it's called Smooth/Contemporary Jazz. Doesn't everyone listen to XM Radio 66?

Yes/No? But I'm betting on it being "probably not" - it's around $150/yr for the car but I got it for $75 (fathers day special).

If you try Hamilton's Wave 94.7 (our local dial), which unless the signal bounces off the clouds you will prolly be out of luck. Try http://streema.com/radios/play/10753 . Will you let us know if you like it?

Yes. Thank you. Found one excellent station: Radio Swiss Jazz. Choice! Can't get any American stations. They all want money, I guess. No loss. I'm more into publicly owned radio stations than anything commercial; ergo, my love of CBC, AVRO, Radio4, etc. What about NAR, you may ask? Okay, that's one exception, but still way down on my choice list.

By 'ambient' jazz I was more referring to Eberhard Weber, Ralph Towner, Pat Metheny, etc. (from the 70's and 80's mostly). Have you heard any of these artists?
