Get A Followed Link on Facebook

You can get a "dofollow" link on your Facebook profile, I learned today from Wesley LeFebvre of SEORankings.com.

It's easy to do it ... just login to your Privacy Settings, choose Customize Settings and you can tick Everyone for Website:

You have to be logged off to view your public profile with the link, as mine below -- its the page search engine robots see!

    Here's where I got this tip: http://www.seorankings.com/how-to-ge...-from-facebook.

How does that deter spammers from downgrading your link?

Sorry, I don't understand your question. How can spammers degrade a link?

I'm kind of thinking the same thing but if PR is sent to the page it should go out of the page too...so...I'm not sure yet what the PR value will be.

    MJ! where's your pucker???

Um. What is a "black hole" link? This is a term I never heard. Save my PR campaign? Do you mean it won't help my PR campaign?

    My pucker?

The page is indexed and cached. When it is next spidered, Google will 'discover' a followed link. Is there PR? There's no toolbar PR, no. Of course, if I linked to that page with, say my forum signature, or from somewhere else, that could change, couldn't it? But even without toolbar PR, I am guessing there is value to the link. There is more value to a link than PageRank, right?

What if I were to change some of my likes and Pages so that there was more relevance, for example?

In any case, having a followed link from FB is better than not having one, and for the few seconds it takes to have one, I am thinking it makes sense.

This makes sense to me. I'd link to my Facebook page Easily if it was setup to promote my website and especially in this case. I think you're right MJ. If there's a link on the page that doesn't have the nofollow link attribute then you're getting your PR - and I do mean page rank.

Chalk it up to another service we perform for our clients who have Facebook accounts.

Are you logged out and looking at your "public" profile? Here's the source code:
