    HubPages. Good or Bad for SEO?

    I recently started to include hubpages in my off line SEO marketing campaign (hubpages.com/hub/sydneybusinessforsale).

    My question is, from an SEO point of view is it worth continuing to use HubPages? I realise these links are nofollowed but will they ever become followed? ( like google knol)

    Thanks in advance.

    Stop thinking links and start thinking traffic.. Can you make those pages drive traffic to your conversion page??

    yes = do it
    no = do something else

    Using Hub Pages is a great way to generate leads over time. As long as you return to update your page with new and useful information, who knows, maybe you'll begin to see more visitors who may link your article to someone else. Hub Pages has been referenced by many SEO gurus as being helpful, so that never hurts.

    With HubPages you create “hubs”, which is a good name for these types of pages and a good concept to explore in your overall SEO and Link Building strategies.

    More hubs you have, the more mentions you will get, and this leads to more traffic for your hubs. However, the traffic you can expect from displayed Related Hubs is minimal but it’s also free backlinks from other hubs, which leads to easier rankings for the hubs themselves.

    Hubpages gives you a hub score for each hub. hubs with a score over 75 are do follow, under 75 are no follow. they are scored on several factors including quality of the individual hub, activity in the social community and on forums, traffic to your hubs, and overall quality of all of your hubs. Linking to other hubs is also a factor. # of friends and followers, etc... basically , they dont want you to just use it for link building. if you join the community and help other hubbers out, you get a better rating, as well as more traffic to your hubs. Your hub score also is how they rank their internal search, so the higher your hub score, the better you will rank in their search listings.

    this isnt right, you need your author score above 75 or no hubs are dofollow. if your author score is above 75 then hubs themselves can be dofollow at score 40 or more.

    NEVER stop thinking links. article marketing is a great way to generate inbound links. They are lousy way to generate traffic usually (there are a few exceptions) and when they do it's usually traffic that doesn't convert.

    If they nofollow they really aren't worth the time to write an article since there's so many article directories that will follow, IMO.

    How does Squidoo work? Is it an article directory? Are the links followed?
