How to set Facebook URL

Hi Friends,

I tried many times but failed to make an simple facebook URL for my profile, I want to make my facebook profile URL like:

http://www.facebook.com/myname

I saw many profiles made in above format but I didn't find the setting for make so. Please let me know that how I can make my profile in above format.

Click on Account in the top right, and edit your username. This will be your url. It's possible that someone already has your desired name, so just experiment to find out what is available.
