Question Flash and YouTube vid make slow loading

I just had a site designed for me with a large flash pic at the top, then a js menu, then a YouTube video. The video is loading before the flash. is there anyway to control which loads first or am I just going to have to use one or the other?

You don't need Flash for that basic slideshow. IMO you'll get much better quality AND much faster loading using something like jQuery. The swf is 310KB ! that's why it takes so long to load.

Yep, Flash for simple fades is no longer viable. Use jQuery as suggested. We've built a free 'Flash Replacement' module for our CMS using jQuery and users find it so much easier.

Your submenu is hidden by the video. I saw that with FF, Opera and IE.

Why do you use js instead of css for your menu?

I use the auto play feature value 'false' to not start a video when my blog or domain loads. If you want the video to load, you would use 'true' in auto play. Hope this helps. I am learning more and more everyday.

Well, the issue with the menu, is because it occurs in some versions of the browsers no in all of them, for example, i'm using 3.6.10 firefox, and i don't see that manu issue happening.
