Are there any limits on no. of characters in Title, description & keywords meta tags?

    Hi all.....

Title, Keywords and description meta tags are one of the most important factors for onpage optimization.....but one thing that I always wonder that are there any limits on the no. of allowed characters by different search engines in Title, meta description & meta keywords tag? What if we exceed the no. of characters allowed limit of search engines......

I am agree with "stevecane" as Google can consider spam your too long keywords and description. Try to adjust your Title within 60 characters, Description 150 characters and Keywords less than 250 characters.

you are still thinking about keywords tag? Google does not count it as a ranking factor but other might do, so choose some targeted (5-8 )keywords for your keywords tag, do not spam it,

Title - in most of the cases Google will show only 70 characters and can read up to 90 characters in the title, But, how Google weighs that title is another factor. Typically primary keyword phrases should be at the beginning of the title. Anything at the end, if not specific to the beginning of the title, may not produce the results you are expecting.

Description - Write your description more like an ad cop, descriptions help the visitor to click on your website in SERP, add your keywords in description that will (arguably) help you to rank well. the ideal length should be between 150 to max 250 characters.
