Of what use a wild-assed guess re. the name of a non-existent thing?![]()
I have heard alot of the rivalry between the Facebook and Google but i dont think Facebook would go for a search engine competition.http://www.reuters.com/article/2010/...6AC07N20101115 . Sames goes for Google, orkut was never able to compete even myspace, so would remain their boundaries and compete in media popularity.
Not a rumor, but a mistake on the part of the OP, as earlier noted.
Are you certain of that?
Considering that FB has now surpassed Google with respect to total user traffic share, is Google's dominance in the search arena - which is, BTW, the only one that they rule - an insurmountable obstacle?
Google made no serious effort to promote Orkut, or any of its many failed ventures; and, yet, this does not deter them from such, as evidenced by the pending launch of Google Circles.
As for FB, it has now surpassed Google in overall popularity. And, there is no reason to believe that Mark Zuckerman's ego is yet in check, so that it should come as no surprise should he decide to butt heads with Google.
Facebook running a search engine? I could see it, but it seems odd that they would expand in that direction. They would have to come up with something that it can do better than Google and be able to market that to the user.
