You have received a warning at WebProWorld

This will most likely be my last post on this forum, it’s been coming for awhile now (about 8 years )

I don’t get along very well with one of your moderators and I don’t take kindly to being warned. I personally feel that my posting has added and currently does add a lot to webproworld but according to your moderator she is directed by the administration to do most of the stuff she does.

From removing my post, to locking threads as well as currently giving me warnings, seems a bit of a strange way to treat your members, especially one that has posted as much as I have.

I get a lot of members thanking me for my post, so I can’t be all bad but I’ll be moving along now in search of a forum that appreciates my participation a little more.

I hope you and very one else here the very best.

    Janeth

Quite some time ago, (years) I received a warning at WebProWorld, I think this was because I had too may links linking to my own related websites, in the postings. (I am not saying that you do this.)

For me I have very little time to post so one minute I was posting content to my sites with related linking to my own websites. The next minute posting at WPW the same issue, what I believe other users would find helpful, (this is why post it to my own website in he first place. So it was easy to copy and paste when posting here.

Do they specify the warnings or are they too generalized to know why?

I guess a moderator can interpret the rules.

This was personal, and I don’t care what anyone says, if you’ve got a member that has been a member for 8 years and has over 6,000 post and has never been warned you should respect them a little more than that.

    Indeed they can and do.

I recently had a situation, in a different forum, where a particular Mod., one who was emotionally invested in a certain discussion where and I stood in opposition, PMed me to give me an "informal" infraction - "informal" as a "favor" - for making multiple consecutive posts rather than combining them, something that was alleged to be contrary to the forum Rules.

When I explained the circumstances involved, and how and when I determine that some posts are better made separate of others, he replied that my reasons didn't matter, that is flatly forbidden.

I replied that, as both he and others did likewise, I was confused, and requested a link to said Rule. I also CCed the Admin., who advised me that there was no such rule!

Mods. are, like the rest of us, humans who sometimes let their emotions get the better of them.

This is awful! Janeth has been one of the major contributors to this forum. Well-informed and witty too. I am very upset to hear about this.
