It would be easy. "Well, Mr/Ms Google employee, if you want your little secrets to stay secret, may we suggest a suitable 'arrangement/?"

Quite right. I should have originally said, "Bribes or blackmail." Blackmail is effective. Plant some drugs on them or their kids, and offer to get them off the charge. Cheaper than bribes, and far more fun.

To bribe someone, don't you have to offer them something they don't have?

Something they don't have enough of. Most people never have enough money.

Google: for three years we may have collected personal data from Street View cars

    More about this here

“The fact that Google collects network information broadcast by Wi-Fi routers to improve location-based services has been widely known,” Chavez wrote. “In retrospect, it is clear there should have been greater transparency about the collection of this data.”

Google said it destroyed the data collected in Ireland, Denmark and Austria. But because of U.S. lawsuits about the breach, it has retained U.S. Wi-Fi information.

In 3 Years how much data have they got? (I live in the U.K.)

It is a legitimate possibility. What about their motto of "do no evil"...are they referring to themselves...or those whose activities that can be monitored.

Anyway we know so little, can so easily have the wool pulled over our eyes, so I think what you say is a very good point.

Remember it is not just Google, but most others who are doing similar, look at the recent issues about Facebook privacy for instance, and many, many. more...

The word Illuminati comes to mind, (P.S. I do not belive that the Illuminati exist.)

Illuminati (plural of Latin illuminatus, "enlightened") is a name that refers to several groups, both historical and modern, and both real and fictitious. Historically, it refers specifically to the Bavarian Illuminati, an Enlightenment-era secret society founded on May 1, 1776. In modern times it is also used to refer to a purported conspiratorial organization which acts as a shadowy "power behind the throne", allegedly controlling world affairs through present day governments and corporations, usually as a modern incarnation or continuation of the Bavarian Illuminati. In this context, Illuminati is often used in reference to a New World Order (NWO). Many conspiracy theorists believe the Illuminati are the masterminds behind events that will lead to the establishment of such a New World Order.
