    Hey homies,

I believe bing is a major concern for google, just for the fact it is owned my microsoft. You know how microsoft thinks ... win at all cost and take no prisoners.

    Wish you all the best!

    God bless

I think Bing is a threat. We all need to remember Twitter was new, so was the iPhone at one point. People are fickle. Google MADE themselves the end all be all unofficially for SEO governess as well as page rank. Ballots were not cast in my name so anything is possible. Google's reign could be usurped at anytime and to think they can't is the biggest illusion ever pulled in business history.

    No it is not

Any new search engine cannot be threat to google because google has own reputation in in search field. No one can compare with google.

I quite agree with you. Can't really say bing will over power google although it seems to have done very well since it's launch. But surely there will be a time that a new search engine will take over google.
May be facebook should come out with a search engine, that will give some serious punch to big G.

Hahaa, remember Yahoo vs Google? At the time when Google was just a little puppy, many considered Yahoo as being the giant that will never fall.

If BIng starts to get too big, maybe google will buy it, and elimante the threat.

I don't remember it that way at all. I remember Alta Vista being eclipsed by Google ... but could be ...

Overall, the relationship in place is a good one and I think that Bing has made a huge business gain in this investment. A $240 million share will feel like a penny compared with what Bing can make out of this through Social SERPs and Facebook users using Bing for searches.

I think a lot of people here are just looking at it as a business v business, and ignoring the culture aspect of it. Many people grew up on Google, myself included. You you don't Bing something, you Google it. Yahoo never had the allure that Google has, it was used just because there was nothing better at the time. When I need something found NOW I instantly type in Google's address, I don't even think about it. Not to mention the infrastructure support that Google search has such as scholar, shopping, photos, etc. That's not even including the cloud technologies that supplement search, such as Gmail, Gchat, Gdocs, Gmaps, etc. Microsoft might gain a small share of the market, but Google has an entire generation built around it, it's not going anywhere.

To be honest: I do not think that Bing is a potential thread for Google. Nevertheless I am quite excited about what the future will show.
