    Gmail is hanging in Firefox

For some reason, my gmail keeps hanging in Firefox. Everything else seems to work fine. But when I try to archive a message, regardless of whether it's from within the message or I've multi-selected messages in the inbox, I get hung up. I get the "loading" message but it never completes the action.

Very frustrating because now I'm being forced to use another browser and I've my toolbars, bookmarks, etc all set up in Firefox!!

That might be because of some compatibility issues or some errors that might have picked up by Firefox during the use. The same was the case with me too, but it was not Gmail, that was causing the problem, but it was my Yahoo account that was having a problem loading in Firefox and the same used to work in other browser. I reinstalled Firefox and since then it has been working fine. I would also recommend you to follow the same and see if it works for you.

I'll have to try that. I did update, but maybe just a whole new download and selective reinstalling my add-ons will do the trick.

    Thanks for the reply.

Take your firefox folder profile from my documents and then try to reinstall. After that copy and paste your older firefox folder in my documents. This will retain back your add ons and bookmarks.

I downloaded the latest version of FF, reinstalled over what I had. It seems to have reset itself and everything is working fine. And I didn't need to reinstall my add-ons! Thanks all.

I've been using FF for a long time and it happened to me. I started to use another browser and since I have formatted my hard drive and reinstalled the OS then my FF has been working apparently as expected.

It seemed to me some mistake that I had done
