Thread: How do you change your email address for the WebProWORLD newsletter?

    Question How do you change your email address for the WebProWORLD newsletter?

    I've been getting nothing but more spam lately at the email address I use for the WPW newsletter, (and I bet iEntry is behind it. Over the years I have gotten countless thousands of spam emails "courtesy of" them for things to which I never subscribed, and had to delete countless email addresses because they became unusable due to spammers). Now I have to do it yet again, delete the email address and create a new one. In the WPW newsletter there's nothing about how to change the email address, only an "Unsubscribe" link. This is not WebProNews, but the WebProWORLD newsletter. So how does one change the email address?

    Hi Clint,

    I work in support for iEntry, Inc. (which oversees WebProWorld) and I can update your e-mail address for you. All that you have to do is to e-mail support[at]ientry.com with the e-mail address where you are currently receiving our newsletters, along with specifying the e-mail address where you would like to continue your WPN subscription, and I will gladly and promptly update your e-mail address for you, along with providing a timely notification in this thread when this change has been performed.

    Please also include "Change e-mail address for WebProWorld" in the subject line as well.

    Hey thanks for replying. Ok, I'll just do that.

    I realize you aren't going to say anything negative about iEntry with regards to the problem I've had with their lists. But perhaps you can tell me if they from time to time have their "email address database" stolen or "compromised" in some way? Or, is it indeed to their policy to provide members' email addresses used for various iEntry-managed lists to "questionable 3rd-parties"?

    Really? I'll talk to them about it. That needs to be fixed.

    Thanks for the fast reply Rah. So I haven't received a WPW newsletter since mid June. Where I can I just simply subscribe again using the new email address?

    At the bottom of WPW, on the right side and above the bottom green bar, is a small gray box that you can subscribe to the newsletter with.

    Before you use that let me see if I can get your profile email fixed. That way if it does get fixed you won't gets sent to twice.

    Can you PM me your original email address and the new one. I'll see what the problem was.

    Thanks, can't believe I never saw that. It's rare that anyone needs to go down that low to the very bottom of the pages.
