    ipv6 considerations

What consideration should be given to existing web sites regarding IPV6?

Are there particular areas that should be considered for testing/modifications?

For example, I assume anything that stores IP addresses may be affected. Software that is being used to analyse logs such as the Apache access log may be affected.

I'm sure code will be developed to work around such issues as logs, etc. Remember the Millenium bug panic, this issue was fixed and no aroeplains crashed ot of the skys because of it, so far as I know

IPv6 The New Internet protocol (My own page, (may/may not) have), some links that may help.

    The Basics only:

If you are old enough 'phone numbers used to be about only 5 numbers long, because only a few users had telephones.

Now thy have to be 6 or 7 numbers long, without area codes, because many more people have telephones.

Similar for internet address, (URL, etc); the used 1pv4, four groups of numbers to represent the address, but now with so many it is needing 1vp6 6 groups of numbers for the website addresses.
