hi Minstrel:
The idea is fresh and original, but the menu doesn't look like a menu, which may confuse a large amount of your visitors. Also, you may want to add some kind of photograph to the index page, so you capture the attention of the visitors.
Something else, have you considered centering everything? That way it doesn't look so crammed to the left for people with resolutions larger than 800x600?
And the background of the main image doesn't match the background color of the site.
I hope this helps... But don't get discouraged, the site doesn't look bad. It just need fine tuning.
Thanks for the feedback -- just to make sure I interpret them correctly, when you say "the index doesn't look like an index" are you referring to the opening (main/splash) page at www.psychlinks.ca/index.htm? or to the topics index at www.psychlinks.ca/Pages/linkindx.htm? or the navigation bar?
Thanks again...
Greetings - Minstrel!
The main the main page below the "logo" links, does not look organized or consistent. The links look rather like a jumbled after-thought that one must scoll to view, plus many of the links are not related to mental health. i.e. - family & friends music links. These disconnected links could be better organized into either a site map or a suggested links page elsewhere on the site.
If I was a potential mental-health patient seeking online advice, I would desire to come to a main page with simple & clean navigation in hopes that the psychological help I would received would also be organized and consistent.
BTW - Within your "title" tag & elswere, you may wish to add the american, as well as the canadian versions of your english keywords, i.e. - Counsellors
I hope this helps!
Sincerely,
Max

What is the agenda, here, Max? Are you stalking me?
Why would you hunt through all of my posts here back to my first post almost a year and a half ago? Do I fascinate you that much?

I see. Well thank you for all that, Max. I should perhaps inform you though that I am attached and even if I weren't I don't date men.
Thank you for insinuating that I'm gay - you must be a very proficient & professional psychologist. You should check out the following link:Originally Posted by minstrel

Nice cover. Either way, go propose to someone else and stop following me around. It's annoying.

If you do not desire to have your website critiqued then, please, do not post it in this forum requesting others to offer their advice on improving your website.
