Besides, advertisers made the mistake to put important link info at Link Description field.

Affiliate waste lots of time to check what the advertisers put on Link Description when they pull affiliate links from CJ interface.

All CJ advertisers, please do put all important info(the code, the promotion period, start and end date) at Link Text field when you create or edit an affiliate link.

Every word advertisers put on Link Description will be ignored easily by default due to CJ interface design.

    Yes, CJ is a scam

I recently launched three blogs, and I've been experimenting with different ways to monetize them. Not wanting to put all my eggs on the Google basket, I tried CJ, but was worried after reading a lot of comments, like this one, from people who'd had bad experiences with Commission Junction. So a friend and I did a test: she bought two products though my affiliate links: one from CJ and another from the Amazon Associates Program. Surely enough, the next day Amazon showed the purchase and my commission. CJ? Nothing. The commission was a little over $10 -- money that, as far as I'm concerned, CJ stole from me.
On their Frequently Asked Questions, they say this happens a lot (obviously: this is the way they do "business") and blame it on people not allowing cookies on their computers. But if that were the case, Amazon Associates wouldn't have paid me a commission either. The two purchases were made from the same computer, almost at the same time, with only one difference: Amazon paid, CJ didn't. Because they are crooks. I removed all my links to CJ and won't waste any more of my time with these thieves. I hope you don't let them steal from you either.

CJ, tradedoubler and similar tested for many years with scarce results or nil, not pursuing these any more. Adsense is much better than any of these. But custom affiliate programs do work, go directly with the company providing the service or the product if they have a custom affiliate program, some of them are managed very well, it is a win win solution where they have the selling ability and you have the right traffic.

I've experienced the difficulties of earning with CJ too. I mostly promote electronics, and get some decent revenue from Amazon, but close to none from CJ.

I use CJ but it seems like it takes forever to make a sale or get a lead. I have gotten one payout from them and currently have a $14 balance as you can tell it is not one of my biggest money makers.

CJ is far from my favorite network and I rarely use them these days .... but I wouldn't go so far as to say they are "a joke and a scam".

Thanks for the heads up on CJ.com

That probably explains why I never got a check from them. I just removed them from my site. Also explains why none of them will talk to me.

    Thanks again!

I actually do have a shopping comparison site that grabs from CJ, Amazon, Linkshare, Google, EBay ..... and a number of others. I have found that CJ seems to never honor the sales. I have had people actually buy, I know they bought, from a CJ company and yet nothing ever showed up in my account. When asked, they said I must have done something wrong. Uh huh.
I did one ad campaign with one of their advertisers and sent about 150,000 visitors to the site through CJ. Not a single sale???? C'mon give me a break.

I am not sure what you guys are doing but every month I earn a minimum of $1500.00 from CJ. I guess it depends on the products or services you are using.
