Another Sausage. .
If I leave a sausage on my coffee table, unprotected and vulnerable, sitting temptingly on the polished veneer. My dog will totally ignore it. Many dog owners will have observed the same thing. Dogs may well be considered scavenging thieves, but it is blatantly evident that many display an undeniable sense of what is, or is not, theirs. . .
On the other hand ,

observation;
If you throw a sausage on to your front lawn every day, some local dog will come and get it. You can throw out three dozen sausages on the first of each month. . But, you will miss out on the daily visit from that one dog. instead every month a different bunch of scavengers will invade your lawn. You cannot count on them, you can not study them to understand what breed they are, or any of their habits. You do not get the chance to look and learn exactly what they like. . . Unless you deliver the sausages daily.

I think maybe some websites or blog's are like this. A sausage a day will find you regular visitors.

Not that I am recommending you post an image of a different sausage every day on your web pages. Although that could end up with a fascinating collection of sausages. I merely mean to express the observation that users will keep on calling back (sticky web site) If you metaphorically throw a sausage out every morning. . or even one on the back lawn and one on the front.

Example;
There is always a fresh sausage on the lawn at WebProWorld - that is why you came back....

I find it amusing to compare the readers or visitors to blogs and forums, with dogs. There will of course be the daily dogs (described in the post above ) There will also be "Trained Dogs". These can be found all over the Internet and regularly found rolled up in a ball and snoozing quietly In blogs. Often highly visible in Forums. These dogs never eat the sausages on the coffee table. . In truth they will actually stop the other dogs stealing the sausages. . . we call these dogs, Dogmods or Dogerators.

Somewhere between all the dogs and all the metaphorical sausages. . There must always be enough fresh metaphorical sausages to go around. Always plenty scavengers seeking every tasty scrap.

This post?
. . I was merely attempting to make a big fat Gourmet sausage.

Hi,
I've a got a couple large retailers expressing interest in my products. They've asked me for wholesale pricing, and I think I have a pretty solid understanding of how to figure these numbers. What I'm not so sure about is how to determine (and quote) my "terms of sale" -- particularly in regard to shipping costs.

Should I necessarily even include shipping terms at this stage? Should I just give them the wholesale cost for the item, and leave the shipping terms to be negotiated later?

If I do need to include info about shipping in my quote -- do you have any tips for how best to do this? Seems like it would be easier to just include my shipping costs in my price, and then tell them shipping is "prepaid."

Thanks!

Hello all,

My client would like to expand into China so has asked me to (1) buy the domain name and (2) set the website/email up. Never having done a Chinese website before, I would like to get some advice.

Current WordPress websites, hosted at Hostway in the US:

www.wickman-group.com (mother company in the UK)
www.wickman-brazil.com
www.wickman-usa.com
www.wickman.co.uk
www.wickman-brazil.com
www.wickman-iberia.com

All domain names are at Go Daddy.

Do I have to buy wickman.com.cn (through http://www.asiaregistry.com/domains/domains_cn.html) or can I buy wickman.asia (Go Daddy)?

Also, do I fill the site with English words then use Google Translate or does it need to have Chinese characters to start with?

Any advice is much appreciated. TIA.
