Looking for ticketing system - simple

Hi,

I'm working on a website for a family member - they own a local dry cleaner - and what they are looking for is a simple ticketing system - when someone brings in their clothing, the cashier generates a ticket number, prints an invoice with the number, and the customer can log in to see if their clothing is complete. Potential also for customers to create "Pickup" tickets, where they can request pickup service by logging in and creating a simple ticket - then they would be able to track the progress.

I've looked at various project management and trouble ticket solutions, the biggest need is that the customer interface must be simple , or easily simplified. Customers need to be able to log in, view only their tickets, check the status and give updates or make additional requests.

Anyone know of anything out there that meets these needs? Open source is fine, I'm just not wanting to build this from scratch because I believe other, more innovative folks have already likely invented a wheel that will meet my needs.
