I found this recently at a post at SearchEngineLand.com. It basically outlines why Canada's Office of the Privacy Commissioner is investigating Google Buzz (http://searchengineland.com/canadian-government-investigating-google-buzz-u-s-govt-next-36342) to determine whether the Buzz is violating Canadian privacy laws.
Very interesting article...

...depending on what you do but...
So it looks like Canada Privacy Commissioner has been busy these last 12 months or so - they had a little showdown with Facebook as well last year if you remember and if I'm correct Facebook was practically pushed into changing their privacy settings.
I don't believe this round of investigations will find many issues with respect to Buzz just because of the simple fact that it's really not that heavy of a service and there's aren't tons of bells and whistles either.
Buzz is pretty simple and straightforward. If you play with it for an hour or so that's what you'll find.
Facebook on the other hand is a different story. Facebook has users creating applications that access users information and the like - those are more serious issues.
